I am getting ready to upgrade a MOSS farm (about K2 server obviously :-) ) from K2 blackpearl 803 to the 807 release, and I want to see what hints and/or best practices there were for making the upgrade as hassle free as possible. I have checked the GAC and I notice that the SourceCode.Install.Common assembly has an assembly version of 4.8075.1.0 which seems ...

  • Re: is it necessary?

The best way to perform a successful installation is to follow the instructions carefully.   Do not skip steps and make sure all prerequisites are met. The documentation is very specific for a reason.  Follow the installation documentation carefully step-by-step for your chosen configuration, then double-check your work.  ...
